Assalamu alaikum Dear sister

As this year comes to a close, I wanted to write to you —
not as a brand, but as a person walking this path.

Mariam’s Collection has now been on this journey for three years.
And to be honest, these years — especially 2025 — were not easy.

There were moments of growth, and moments of uncertainty.
Moments of hope, and moments of fear.
More than once, the company stood at the edge, where moving forward no longer felt guaranteed.

But by the mercy of Allah, we are still here.

I often remind myself of what Allah teaches us — that He loves those who remain consistent in their efforts.

🌙 Not perfect.

🌙 Not flawless.

🌙 But sincere, patient, and steady.

That reminder carried me through many heavy days.

Before Mariam’s Collection ever existed, there was a very personal reason behind it.

When I slow down and reflect, certain memories return clearly —
moments of being judged, excluded, or spoken to differently simply because I wore hijab.

Because of hijab, I was treated differently.
Because of hijab, certain opportunities were closed.
Because of hijab, I was seen as “less modern,” “less capable,” or even as a symbol of poverty or backwardness.

Those experiences did not fade with time.
They stayed with me.

And they quietly shaped the path I hoped to take one day.

During my time studying in Malaysia, a classmate once shared a story that deeply moved me.

After graduating, she attended an interview at a company in Kuala Lumpur.
During the interview, the interviewer unexpectedly asked her to recite a few verses from Surah Al-Baqarah.
She froze — completely unprepared.

Then the interviewer said something she would never forget — and neither would I:

“If you are not responsible toward your Creator, how can I trust you to be responsible toward this company?”

That sentence settled quietly into my heart.
It reshaped how I understood faith, responsibility, and life — not as separate ideas, but as one.

After returning home, I found myself making a simple dua.

I hoped to find work where I could wear my hijab without compromise.
Where I could pray on time.
Where faith would not need to be hidden or negotiated.

By Allah’s mercy, that dua was answered in ways I never expected.

The Quran reminds us that prayer can feel heavy —
but for those who are humble and mindful, it becomes light.
I carried that reminder with me through every transition, every hesitation, every test.

Eventually, I met a group of people who shared the same intention.
Together, we founded Mariam’s Collection.

From the very beginning, our goal was never just clothing.

We wanted to create modest fashion that truly serves Muslim women in their real lives —
🌙 with respect,
🌙 with comfort,
🌙 and with understanding.

We care about whether a garment allows freedom of movement.
Whether it feels gentle and relaxed on the body.
Whether it offers a sense of safety, dignity, and ease.

So behind every product, we ask ourselves a few very practical questions:

Is the fabric comfortable and durable enough for everyday wear?
Will she genuinely love it and reach for it again and again?
And while maintaining quality, is the price fair and reasonable — without becoming a burden?

Only when the answers are yes
does a piece deserve to be offered to you.

As Muslim women step into classrooms, workplaces, homes, and communities,
hijab should not stand as an obstacle —
but as a witness.

Entrepreneurship is not an easy path.

It means facing pressure from every direction —

Some days are heavier than we ever imagined.

But in my heart, I return to the same dua:

As long as I am on this path,

So as this year comes to an end, my reflection is simple:
We are still here.
