Satin, worn with complete intention. This floor-length maxi dress is cut from a smooth, lustrous satin — high-gloss, fluid and deeply light-responsive, the surface shifting between rich highlight and deep shadow with every movement. The neckline is a full cowl: the fabric gathered and stacked in a generous, naturalistic drape across the full width of the neckline, the satin folds catching the light in a layered, sculptural arrangement that requires no structure to hold its form. The sleeves are close-fitting through the full arm length, each finished with a concealed zip running approximately 20–25cm up the inner sleeve seam — a considered, functional detail that allows the sleeve to open fully for ease of dressing and closes to a completely clean, uninterrupted line at the wrist. The dress is fitted through the body, falling in a composed, straight silhouette from shoulder to a complete floor-trailing hem.
The waist belt is cut from the same satin and attached at both sides of the waist — the two ends brought to the front and tied in a neat bow at the centre front, the same arrangement repeated at the back with the belt ends tying in a bow at the centre back. The result is a dress that is defined at the waist from every angle, the satin bow reading as a quiet, considered accent at both the front and the back.
