🌙 A Muslim Founder’s Personal Journey
Hello, I’m Mustafa.
I was born into a traditional Muslim family — but in the country where I grew up, Muslims were a small and often misunderstood minority.
Faith wasn’t something people around me could relate to.
Sometimes, it was even met with rejection.
And for a long time, my understanding of Islam was only surface-level.
🧒🏼 My faith used to feel like a burden
As a child, I followed the basics: praying, fasting, avoiding haram…
But I didn’t understand why.
Sometimes I felt like my faith made me different — inconvenient — even isolated.
It felt like something I inherited, not something I chose.
But everything changed when I moved to a new city for university.
Far from home, far from any Muslim community,
I began to truly question my beliefs.
💔 In that isolation, I found clarity
There were no prayer rooms. No halal food.
I spent Eid alone. I felt unseen. Unanchored.
And I began to wonder:
What do I actually believe? What values do I live by?
That’s when I realized —
Islam wasn’t a burden. It was a blessing.
It gave me identity, boundaries, direction, and peace.
I turned back to Allah. I started praying again, learning again.
And for the first time in my life, I felt a deep, quiet joy —
a sense of purpose that nothing else could give me.
🤝 I wanted to support others like me
At university, I started organizing gatherings for Muslim students.
We prayed together. We pushed for halal options.
We invited non-Muslim students to join our Eid celebrations.
Slowly, the misunderstandings faded — and confidence grew.
Through that journey, I learned:
-
To earn respect, you must uplift yourself first.
-
Helping others is how you strengthen your own path.
🙏🏽 I asked Allah for a life of purpose
In my final year, I made a sincere du’a:
“Ya Allah, grant me work that can provide for me — and serve others.”
Alhamdulillah, that prayer was answered.
I joined several projects serving Muslims in our country.
From education to everyday support, we built tools and spaces for our community.
And slowly, “making life easier for Muslims” became my personal mission.
👀 Then, I met Mariam
We met by chance — but I’ll never forget that moment.
She was quiet, but strong.
A sister whose calm presence spoke volumes.
Her faith was deep, and her vision even deeper.
She told me her dream:
To build a global modest fashion brand for Muslim women —
a brand rooted in faith, not just fashion.
That dream became our shared mission.
I said yes — and we started building Mariam’s Collection together.
🕌 This is more than business. It’s ibadah.
We believe fashion is a form of expression — and a reflection of belief.
We design every piece with intention, beauty, and dignity.
Not to chase trends, but to uphold values.
From Muslims. For Muslims.
To uplift our sisters.
To share our culture with grace.
To serve Allah through service to His people.
I’ve been lost and found. Tested and guided.
And today, I’m here to stitch our faith, our journey, and our purpose
into every thread of this brand.
To support our ummah.
To live with meaning.
To walk the path with modesty and strength.
This is who I am.
This is why I’m here.
